M. Visvesvaraya was a Indian engineer who born on 15th September 1861 and the 19th diwan of the Mysore kingdom.

he has great contribution in the construction of the Krishna raja sagar dam  in Karnatka

in 1968 Indian Government declare Sir M. Visvesvaraya’s birth anniversary as the Engineers’ day. since then, this day celebrated as the Engineer day not only Indian but also in Shri Lanka, Tanzania

He was elected as the president of the Indian Science Congress in the 1923

After Indian got Independence he was awarded the national highest honor, the Bharat Ratana in 1955.

he is remember as Bhagirath of the Karnataka state

M. Visvesvaraya was not married. He has three brother and two sister and have great bound with his siblings and also with their children.

while he was diwan of Mysore he was awarded Knighted as a king Commander of the order of the Indian Empire by the British for his contribution in the public goods.
